Parent council

The Parent council shall promote collaboration between the school and parents to foster the wellbeing of every student and to help provide a positive learning environment for everyone.

The Parent council is a non-profit, non-political and non-partisan organization

The objective is to expand communication between the school, parents or guardians, families and the outside community. The parent council will hold regular meetings and one member of the parent council will assume the duty as attending at the Board of Directors meetings. He/she will be able to relay parents’ concerns and views to the Board, and in return, be able to share information from the Board with the parent council.

All parents are encouraged to express general ideas, concerns and suggestions about the school through their elected parent representatives. Becoming involved in the Parent Council and/or its activities is an excellent way for the new parents to meet others and to become part of the Tromsø community. The school has a student council. The council is elected in the beginning of each school year by the students. There are regular meetings where students can address student concerns, discuss developing projects, and show service towards the school and the community.
